How long have you been a Personal Travel Planner and what do you specialise in?
8 years, I also worked in travel when I lived in Spain. I lived in Spain for 25 years, so I know Spain and the surrounding islands very well. I have 3 children of my own (although grown up now) I understand the needs of families on holiday.
"I love finding the perfect holiday for a customer and then hearing all about the wonderful time they have had on their return. It is wonderful to have repeat customers that you get to know well, so recommending something you know they will like is a great feeling."
1. What was your most memorable holiday meal?
I had a wonderful sea bass dish at The Cliff Bay Hotel in Funchal. It came with a beautiful light sauce and home-made ratatouille and was absolutely delicious.
2. What is the best thing about being abroad?
Learning a new culture and experiencing different types of local food. Eating where the locals eat is a must!
3. Where would you go next and why?
Would love to go to Mauritius as I really enjoyed the Seychelles and think this would be a similar experience. The beaches were incredible, the waters incredibly clear, with the backdrop of all the greenery, it’s simply stunning. Lots of beautiful trees and amazing animals, like the fruit bats that fly overhead, it’s just beautiful. The food is also great, I love the Indian influence. The people are also so friendly.
